i think i will most probably limit my writings to things i like.. movies, music, art.
so here goes my first post on this movie that i watched today DEAD POET's SOCIETY.
Its inspirational n touching. One of my friends was going on and on about this movie.. she thought ethan hawke was really good in this movie. yes he was good. also its probably the only movie of robert sean leonard that i have really seen. otherwise i just know him as the flirty, slightly gay-ish, not so manly, always full-of-advice best friend of dr. gregory house in house m.d. what i liked the most about the movie was there are these moments in the movie where u get really drawn in. emotionally. i dint cry. though i felt sad. in the scene where the kids stand on the tables while keating leaves is very regular. you know the whole event is very typical. but unlike regular movies not everyone stood.. just the ones who really respected keating. so it looked real as there were other students who dint have the guts to stand cos they feared getting expelled. not an idealistic situation. nonetheless it was touching. weird thing is.. (this, mind you is a spoiler, u mite not want to read the remaining.. don tell me i dint warn u)i wonder how neil killed himself? another thing was, their reading sessions were not as great as i expected it to be. probably what they had done with those parts were good like that. i don't know. should ask someone who has watched this movie...
that's it for now.. my first post written on new years eve..
